Artist Statement

Since I was a kid my admiration and fascination for films and television lead me to represent the characters in caricatures. Years later, this caricatures evolved to the third dimension and they’ve become sculptures, as they’ve almost where looking to breath live. I’ve place special efforts in capture the essence of the characters, this it’s vital to accomplish perfect resemblance. Facial features without a soul says nothing.

Each day my passion for art and film merge in looking for the creation for a new “Big Bang “, where mi creativity can develop new stories and worlds. My actual work it’s part of the path that emerge in life, each time I take the brushes, celluloid, or clay.

I want to transmit a new and also familiar in my work observers, a sensation that just a few keep feeling since their new childhood experiences. For me connecting with those feelings makes a fulfilling life.
